Six Individuals Selected to Enter Metro Detroit Hall of Fame
Mark your calendar now as six individuals have been selected to enter the 19th Metro Detroit Hall of Fame ceremony on October 5th, 2010.

Metro Detroit loses a legend
Manager Roy Lombardo of the famed Little Caesars teams back in the 1970’s passed away the first week of August.  He entered the Metro Detroit Hall of Fame in 1983, its second class, along with well-known sponsors Mike Ilitch and Jim Snyder. 
Both as a player and as a manager, Lombardo demonstrated the fierce competitive drive, which enabled him to be a champion.  His playing career began in 1948 as a second baseman in fast pitch softball playing for Briggs two national championship teams in 1952 and 53.  In 1955, he turned his attention to slow-pitch.  He managed East Side Sports (1958), Michaels Lounge (1966) and Little Caesars (1970) to national titles.  Lombardo was inducted into the national ASA Hall of Fame in 1988.
